CoNote

Browser extension

See your CoNote events on the chart inside Google Analytics, and connect the extension with your personal key.

The CoNote browser extension shows your logbook events right inside Google Analytics, as small markers on the chart where the numbers moved. It only reads your CoNote data, never your analytics data.

You manage everything for the extension on the Browser extension page in CoNote (in the sidebar).

Install it

The extension installs from the Chrome Web Store (coming soon). Once installed, click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser's toolbar and pin CoNote so its icon stays visible.

Connect it with your key

Your API key is shown on the Browser extension page. It's personal and read-only, and it works across every team you belong to.

  1. Copy your key

On the Browser extension page, copy the key (it starts with cnk_live_).

  2. Paste it into the extension

Open the extension from your toolbar, paste the key, and connect.

  3. Choose a team

Pick which CoNote team to show for the analytics property you're viewing. Different properties can map to different teams.

The key is your access to your own events. Keep it private. If it ever leaks, regenerate it.

Regenerate the key

If you need a fresh key, use Regenerate on the Browser extension page. This immediately invalidates the old key, so any device still using it will need the new one pasted in again.

Regenerating replaces your only key. After you regenerate, reconnect the extension on every browser where you use it.
