Pingdom integration

Record outages and recoveries from your Pingdom checks as Incident notes, so downtime lines up with the change behind it.

This integration puts your Pingdom outages and recoveries on the CoNote timeline as Incident notes, so when a check goes down, the deploy or change from that moment is right there.

What lands on your timeline

A note when a check goes down, and another when it's back up.

How it works

Pingdom sends each state change to CoNote automatically over a private link CoNote gives you. Pingdom can't add an extra field to the message, so you append a private key to the link instead, a key only you and CoNote share, so Pingdom can prove the message is real.

Setting it up

  1. Add the integration

In Integrations, choose Pingdom. Copy the private link (the webhook URL) and the private key (the secret) shown after you connect.

  2. Add the webhook in Pingdom

In Pingdom, add a Webhook integration (the Webhooks section, where tools send updates from). Set the URL to the CoNote link with ?secret=<secret> appended.

  3. Attach it to your checks

Add the webhook as an alert recipient on the checks you want on the timeline.
