Mentions integration
Watch the public web for your brand name and log each new mention as an External note, so a brand-traffic spike lines up with the article or post behind it.
A newsletter feature, a viral post, a podcast episode: press coverage moves your traffic within hours, and referral reports rarely tell you where it came from. This integration watches the public web for your keywords and puts each new mention on your timeline as an External note, with a link to the article or post.
What lands on your timeline
For every keyword you enter, CoNote records an External note when it is named in:
- the news, from a global index of online news coverage,
- Hacker News stories,
- Bluesky public posts.
Each note links to the article or post, so you can read the source with one click.
How it works
You enter up to five keywords. That is the whole setup: no alerts to create, no feeds to configure, nothing to install. CoNote checks the sources every hour and logs anything new. The first check is a silent baseline, so your timeline starts with mentions that happen from then on; older coverage is not backfilled.
Setting it up
Add the integration
In Integrations, choose Mentions.
Enter your keywords
Add up to five keywords, separated by commas. Good choices: your brand name, your product names, your domain, or your founder's name.
Save
New mentions land on the timeline within an hour of being published.
Pick keywords that are distinctive. "CoNote" finds your brand; a generic word like "logbook" finds everyone's. If a keyword is too common, replace it with a more specific phrase like your product plus brand name.
